On this page: the “See on map” button, the light-blue pin in the quest tracker, what each mark on the minimap and on the world map (M) means, and how to walk there with one click.
In short
- Look at the quest tracker (top right, under the minimap). Next to each quest there is a light-blue pin.
- Click the pin. The world map opens, zoomed in and centered on the quest location, with a pulsing light-blue diamond.
- Click the diamond and your character walks there. Close the map with M or Esc.
- While you walk, the minimap shows the diamond and, if it is far away, an arrow on the edge pointing at it. When you arrive, the mark disappears by itself.
From the quest log (L key)
Open the quest log with L (or Alt+K) and pick a quest. There are two “See on map” buttons:
- Bottom right, next to “Track” and “Abandon”: it takes you to what is still missing in that quest. If you already finished it, it shows the NPC you turn it in to; if it is an available quest, the NPC who gives it.
- Next to each objective that has a place: it takes you to that objective.
The quest log closes so you can see the map and opens again by itself when you close the map. If a quest has no place to mark (for example “talk to someone you have not met yet”), the button is greyed out and its tooltip tells you so.
The world map (M key)
- The light-blue diamond with a ring is the place you picked with “See on map”.
- The big orange diamond is the objective of a quest you track in the tracker.
- The small
?marks around it show the edge of the hunting area: anywhere inside that circle you find the quest monsters. - At the top you see which floor you are looking at (“Surface”, “Depth 1”…). If the objective is in a cave, the map opens on that floor. The crosshair button takes you back to your floor and your position.
- Mouse wheel: zoom. Drag: move. Click a mark: walk there.
What each mark means
| Mark | What it is |
|---|---|
| Light-blue diamond with a ring | The place you picked with “See on map”. It disappears when you get there, or with a right click on it. |
| Big orange diamond with a ring | The objective of a quest you track. You see it from any floor (more transparent on another floor). |
| Small orange diamond | The objective of an active quest you do not track. |
| Arrow on the minimap edge | The objective is out of view: the arrow points at it. Hover it to see how many steps away it is. |
Yellow ! / yellow ? | An NPC with a new quest / with a quest to turn in. Blue ones are dailies. |
Grey ? | An NPC of a quest you are still doing. |
Want a quest marked big? Track it: press “Track” in the quest log or tick its box in the list. You can track up to 5 quests at once.
Tips
- The funnel at the top left of the minimap (and the “Marks” button on the world map) turns each kind of mark on or off. If you do not see your objectives, check that “Objectives of followed quests” is on.
- The first time you play, a tip at the bottom left explains all this. More: Quests (quest log, tracker and quest bag) and Controls and shortcuts.
