If you are looking for a new MMORPG in 2026 that does not ask for endless hours, meet Rift Delve: an indie 2D pixel-art MMORPG for Windows PC, made by a small team from Costa Rica. It has 22 dungeons of about 20 minutes, four classes with two subclasses each, and seasons where everyone starts on the same day. It is in preparation and has no release date yet.
What Rift Delve is
It is a free MMORPG built for short sessions with the spirit of the classics: four vocations (Warrior, Mage, Archer and Shaman), open PvP with skulls outside safe zones, loot dropped by monsters and world bosses. What we changed is whatever ate your hours: each dungeon takes 15 to 25 minutes and ends with a chest where you pick 1 of 3 rewards.
What makes it different
- Short sessions. One dungeon in an evening is enough to feel you moved forward. More in casual MMORPG.
- Classic style, without the grind. What we kept and what we changed is in old-school MMORPG.
- Subclass at level 20. Every class has two and you can swap for free, so trying is cheap.
- Seasons. Everyone starts together; your account, account cosmetics and titles stay when a season ends.
- No pay-to-win. Nothing is sold during the beta, and if a shop ever exists it will sell cosmetics only. The full guarantee is on no pay-to-win.
How the beta works
The first stage is a free closed beta that we are still preparing. To get in there is a public waitlist: sign up with your email and we tell you when spots open. We publish no launch date and no player counts because there is no data to back them yet; what exists today are real in-game screenshots on the home page.
